With the elections about four weeks away, many residents may be divided along political lines, but on Thursday at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park about 40 people came together to pray for the territory.

They were among several groups who gathered in different locations throughout the day to participate in the interdenominational International Day of Prayer.

“Bind us together Lord; bind us together with cords that cannot be broken,” the group sang at the park.

After singing several hymns, nine attendees took the microphone to pray about topics including the upcoming elections, foreign investors, employee-employer relationships, crime and businesses.

Apart from the session at the park, local radio stations broadcast prayers hourly.

The activities culminated that night with a service at the Festival Village Grounds.
