The US Embassy in the Caribbean and the US Department of State are continuing to reach out to the British Virgin Islands and United Kingdom authorities to coordinate assistance to US citizens in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.  In the meantime, US citizens should shelter in one place and if urgent assistance is needed, contact local authorities, the US Embassy advises.
