Robert Speranza, a 73-year-old United States citizen, died after apparently falling from a boat on which he was a passenger Tuesday morning, police said.

“He was then recovered from the water,” Police Information Officer Diane Drayton said. “The members on board the boat performed CPR and brought him in to Road Town jetty.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, the vessel, the 70-foot Stew’s Special, was still docked at the jetty with a visibly shattered windshield.
