The BVI Airports Authority announced Thursday that the Taddy Bay Airport on Virgin Gorda will be closed from 9:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday.

The closure is designed to “facilitate restorative works on the runway strip,” according to a BVIAA press release that did not provide further details.

Travellers scheduled to go to VG by air are asked to contact their airline representative for alternate arrangements, the agency announced.

The BVIAA “apologises for any inconvenience caused due to the closure of the airport, and thanks the travelling public for its indulgence as it seeks to ensure safety is maintained at all times,” according to the press release.
