Year after year since the Top 7 at 7 Award Show started, St. George’s Secondary School graduate Travis Walters has participated. Often, he has won awards.
Mr. Walters’ performance during this year’s show caught the attention of an entertainment company, which has now signed a deal to bring the young Virgin Islands performer to the United States for training, officials said during a Sept. 7 ceremony at The Moorings.
Mr. Walters will leave the territory by the end of September to embark on a six-month programme with R.A.Y.D.A.R Entertainment in Atlanta.
There, he will spend time learning about the entertainment business before he enters the studio to record music, officials said.
