Nominations are now open for the Virgin Islands Civil Service Association’s 2012 elections.

The organisation will elect a new executive body on Feb. 22, and nominations can be made through Friday, according to a Monday press release.

Full VICSA members can make submissions to Aldrin Rabsatt in the Inland Revenue Department or Maritza Mercer at the International Finance Centre.

According to the VICSA constitution, members of the board hold seats for two years.

On polling day, nominees will be elected via secret ballot, in a similar process as the territory’s general elections, according to the press release. Elections Supervisor Juliette Penn assisted with the process by recommending nominations and ballot formats.

Nomination forms can be downloaded via the VICSA’s website, www.virginislandscsa.com.

For more information contact the organisation’s acting president, Stephen McMaster, at 468-3701, extension 2213.
