The final of the BVI Football Association’s women’s nine-a-side league will feature VG Utd. and the Ballstarz after both teams had comfortable wins in the semifinals over the weekend.
On Saturday, despite wet conditions at the A.O. Shirley Recreation Gounrds, VG Utd. was too much for the Panthers as they walked way with the win, 4-0. In the first half, Loreal George scored twice (19th and 28th minute).
In the second half, Jackisha Rigobert scored from long range, while the Kayla Skelton scored her team’s final goal of the game.
The Ballstarz handed the Avengers their first loss of the season, 2-0.
Philia James and Morgan Creque scored for Ballstarz.
The final, along with the playoff game for third place, are scheduled for Saturday at the A.O. Shirley Recreation Grounds starting at 4:30 p.m. with the Avengers facing the Panthers followed by VG Utd. taking on the Ballstarz.
