About two months ago, Eighth District Representative Marlon Penn made comments on the radio that seemed to me to suggest that there is racism in the real estate market in the Virgin Islands.
If this report was accurate, I want my National Democratic Party to deal with anyone who is racist and if possible send them back where they came from. As a Virgin Islander who spent more than 30 years in the United States and as a veteran of the US Navy, I went through lots of racism in the US. I will not stand for it in my territory.
If I was white and did not like non-white people, I would not live in a territory with less than five percent white people. Please, government, do something about it. Don’t let people take matters into their own hands. If the people rise up on this issue it will make the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement look like child’s play.
