Police seized more than 2,200 marijuana plants Dec. 29 on a hillside near the Virgin Gorda Airport, officials said.
Lenn Lennard, 37, and Bakembe George, 19, were arrested and charged with cultivation of cannabis, Police Information Officer Diane Drayton said Tuesday. She added that police made the arrests acting on intelligence, but she declined to give further details.
“Over 2,200 plants were uprooted, ranging from seedlings to five feet tall,” Ms. Drayton said.
