Three men appeared yesterday in Magistrates’ Court, charged with the March 16 murder of Keri Harrigan in the Sticket area in Long Look — a killing police and prosecutors say was connected to the January MoneyGram robbery.

Allen Baptiste, 32, of Bellevue, Rodney Simmonds Jr., 22, of Lower Estate, and Yan Edwards, 30, of Long Look, were charged with murder and conspiracy to murder in connection with the killing.

Messrs. Edwards and Simmonds were also charged with conspiracy to murder in the March 13 shooting of Melbourne Francis, who allegedly was shot while driving through Nottingham Estate.

Mr. Francis was injured but survived the shooting, acting Principal Crown Counsel Tiffany Scatliffe said. Mr. Edwards, who is represented by Stephen Daniels, was previously charged with attempted murder in connection with that incident.
