The Ministry of Education and Culture on Wednesday announced the dates for the start of the 2016-2017 school year.
New and transfer students should report to schools on Aug. 31, according to Government Information Services.
Returning students up to grade nine should report from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 1. The same day, orientation for the territory’s first class of 12th graders will be held at 5 p.m. at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.
On Sept. 2, returning students in grades 10 to 12 should report from 1-3 p.m., according to GIS.
On Sept. 5, classes begin for all public schools.
