Sydney Malone Varlack, 61, of Fat Hogs Bay was charged with two counts of burglary after he was identified in video footage recorded by a homeowner’s camera in East End last week, police said.
Mr. Varlack, known as “Lightning,” was charged with entering the same premises twice on separate nights while the homeowner was at home sleeping, according to the Police Information Office.
Nothing was discovered missing on the first occasion, but on the second occasion cash and food items allegedly went missing.
Mr. Varlack was granted police bail for a later appearance before Magistrates’ Court, police said.
