The BVI Basketball Federation has decided that they will host the Road Town domestic league, despite cancelling it late last month due to “poor registration.”

According to a BVIBF press release, organisers decided to reschedule the start date of the league due to “overwhelming responses from the teams and the BVI community.”

“We understand that is the tradition to commence the league on Mother’s Day, but at this late stage for preparation, the time frame is not conducive, and as such the league is now scheduled to commence on May 16,” according to the BVIBF statement.

All teams that have not registered are asked to submit their rosters with full payment by May 11.

A coaches and managers meeting is scheduled for May 13 at the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports conference room at 5:30 p.m.
