Nail Bay
The Sugarcane Restaurant at Nail Bay, Virgin Gorda, formally re-opened Saturday after about three months of remodeling. The restaurant, which features poolside tables, a swim-up bar and a new patio, currently serves lunch and dinner. It will begin serving breakfast in March, according to the company’s website. The work is part of belonger Doug Reigels’ efforts to re-develop two VG properties — Nail Bay Estates and Resort and Mooney Bay Estate — and the Anegada Beach Club, which Mr. Reigels hopes will be open by June. All three properties are managed by Driftwood Properties, a belonger-owned company overseen by Chief Operating Officer Trefor Grant.

Alphonso Warner
The Alphonso Warner Insurance Agency announced that it is now selling policies offered by the Jamaica-based insurance provider ICWI Group of Companies. The policies now offered by the company cover general lines of insurance including auto, property, marine, construction and business risk, among others, according to Marlon Thomas, an employee of Alphonso Warner.

HLSCC
H. Lavity Stoutt Community College will offer the “Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management” beginning on March 26, officials said. The six-month course, which was created by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, will cost $2,600. Ten places are available, according to the college. A second offering, “STEP Diploma II Course in Company Law and Practice” is scheduled to begin in September. Additionally, HLSCC is continuing to offer financial services courses affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and the International Compliance Association.
