Contractors wishing to enter bids for the government contract

to build a new home for the elderly in Spooners Estate should do so by June 28, according to Government Information Services. Officials are also seeking bids by that date for an insurance policy for the Central Administration Building, which is valued at more than $24 million. Bids for both projects should be submitted to the Ministry of Finance’s Procurement Unit.

 

 

NPO board

Dr. Vincent Scatliffe, the former Fourth District representative, will serve as a member of government’s Non-Profit Organisations Registration Board, according to a Gazette notice issued last Thursday. He is to serve a three-year term that became effective on March 1.

 

HLSCC workshop

H. Lavity Stoutt Community College will host a five-day workshop in July to help artisans and contractors price their products and services effectively. The five-day “Computerised Job Estimation Tools” workshop will cost $250 and will be held starting on July 29, according to a college press release. “CJET is a simple but effective computerised tool which allows the contractor to always know his/her finite cost as progress is made and through preparation of each line item in the bill of quantities,” the release stated. Civil aviation

The government’s Civil Aviation Department at the Ministry of Communications and Works will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, according to a notice in the Gazette. Customers wishing to register mortgages for aircraft and aircraft engines will be able to do so Monday through Friday, the MCW announced last Thursday.
