We have all become accustomed to the “dirty tricks” tactics employed by some political parties against their rivals, but I was shocked to see that the Virgin Islands Party, or its helpers or party members, appear to be resorting to tactics against law-abiding, hard-working, taxpaying businesses.

I own and operate a day-sail company, which is now in its 11th year of business, and I was appalled to see that one of my advertising signs attached to a power pole near Zion Hill had been ripped off. My sign and others had been dumped in the ditch and replaced with a VIP poster.

Not only am I very annoyed with having my advertising sign removed from the pole, it was also broken in half, along with other signs, and simply dumped at the side of the road.

I was under the impression that all political parties were urging citizens to look after the countryside and avoid dropping litter. This is not a very good example!
