The National Parks Trust is gearing up to improve four of its most popular sites on Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Anegada.

Under a contract signed July 15, Tarris Hill Associates Ltd. will carry out $462,712 worth of improvements at the Rock Iguana Head Start Facility on Anegada; at Sage Mountain National Park on Tortola; and at The Copper Mine and The Baths on Virgin Gorda, according to a government press release.

The first three sites are set to get visitors’ centres, and The Baths are slated to get two “vending units,” according to the release. All the works are expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2015.

The contract, which was publicly tendered, includes $326,809 worth of work on VG; $83,123 worth of work on Anegada; and $52,779 worth of work at Sage Mountain, according to Lynda Varlack, the acting director of the NPT.
