Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force’s Major Crime Team went to Anegada on Friday to investigate the disappearance of Margarita Faulkner-Clinton, a 77-year-old woman who went missing more than a month ago.

Ms. Clinton, who has dementia, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on the main public road in The Settlement on Dec. 2.

Following her disappearance, a team of officers from Tortola and Virgin Gorda joined members of the Anegada community in a search, along with representatives from service organisations in the territory.

An aerial search was also carried out with the assistance of the United States Coast Guard.  However, Ms. Faulkner-Clinton was not found.

Members of the community who may have information that could assist the investigation are encouraged by police to contact the Anegada Police Station at 468-9137 and arrange to meet with one of the officers there.
