East End resident Tim Dailey pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of a firearm with intent on Tuesday at High Court.

He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison for robbery and 20 years for possession of a firearm with intent, according to his attorney, Patrick Thompson. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for today.

Mr. Dailey, who was 21 at the time of his arrest, allegedly robbed Brewley’s Superette in Purcell Estate at gunpoint in September, discharging a round while doing so.

At the time of the arrest, police were thankful for the community support in apprehending the suspect.

“It is important that the work of police and community continue and increase so that perpetrators who would commit acts such as this robbery are removed from neighbourhoods and streets,” Police Commissioner David Morris said at the time.
