Walking with a lime balanced on a spoon can be tricky.

That’s what several groups of youngsters learned during the lime-and-spoon races at the Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta Friday afternoon.

“People think it looks easy, but it’s not,” said Craig “DJ Push Pop” Lake, who commentated the events of the day.

After a heavy downpour the games continued with single-versus-married tug-of-war competitions, followed by other activities and music.

Earlier in the day, the streets were lined with spectators during one of the most popular events of the Carrot Bay festival: donkey races.

The festival wrapped up early Sunday morning after performances by the Jamaican recording artist Baby Cham, the United States Virgin Islands band 17 Plus, and VI performers B Breezy and the VI Showtime Band.
