Four police officers have been interdicted as an internal corruption investigation continues in the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.

Last month, it was made public that an undisclosed number of officers were put on compulsory leave as a part of the probe.

Ms. Drayton said the officers in question were on leave while permission was sought for their interdiction.

Though the number of officers has now been disclosed, the RVIPF is still declining to release their names.

“In accordance with the RVIPF policy, the names of the officers will not be released and no further comment will be made while the investigation is ongoing,” Ms. Drayton said.
