A woman was robbed by a masked gunman while walking in the Vanterpool Estate area at about 9 p.m. Saturday, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
The assailant stole her handbag, which contained her laptop, personal documents and an undisclosed amount of cash, Ms. Drayton said.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance. Information about the incident can be provided by calling the non-emergency number 311 or the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
Information can also be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers’ Miami-based hotline, 800-TIPS (8477).
