A man reported to Peebles Hospital Monday morning with bullet wounds, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.

The details surrounding his injury are unknown, but gunfire was reportedly heard at about 6:30 a.m. in Long Look, Ms. Drayton said Monday.

The man was in stable condition, she added at the time.

Police do not know other details, but they will provide an update when one becomes available, according to Ms. Drayton.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance. Information can be reported by calling the non-emergency number 311, or the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
