Police on Wednesday indentified the two 50-year-old public officers they said were arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of human smuggling.

Immigration officer Brian Henley of Cane Garden Bay and customs officer Clarence Fahie of Greenland were charged with breach of trust by a public official, according to a press release from the Police Information Office.

Both men were held in police custody and were scheduled to appear at the Magistrate’s Court Wednesday.

The arrests followed a “proactive investigation into an incident which occurred in Cane Garden Bay earlier in 2011,” according to a Tuesday police press release.
