Wakima Lettsome, who was stabbed with an ice pick at Her Majesty’s Prison last Thursday, was treated at Peebles Hospital and later released, according to police.

“He is now back at HMP,” according to a statement from the Police Information Office. “No arrests have been made thus far in the incident.”

Investigations into the incident continue, police said.

Mr. Lettsome, after being found guilty of a 2011 shooting in the Crabbe Lot area in November, was sentenced to 20 years in prison by High Court Justice Albert Redhead on Feb. 15.

The conviction arose from a Nov. 18, 2011 incident in which Jonathan Colaire was shot in the stomach.
