An inquest is planned into the death of Tre Erickson, who died after a scooter accident on Beef Island, police said at a community meeting at the Sticket in Long Look.
Police Inspector Ariel Cameron gave an update into the police investigation into the death.
“There was a huge gathering of young persons on motor-scooters racing at the airport,” Mr. Cameron said in describing the events leading to the March 27 collision that led to Mr. Erickson’s death in a Puerto Rico hospital. “The information thus far revealed from our investigations is that two persons were proceeding from the direction of Trellis Bay, heading towards the bridge – one on the hillside, one on the seaward side.”
