Sydney Varlack Malone, also known as “Lightning,” was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison on Friday after allegedly failing to appear at Magistrates’ Court multiple times since he was charged with criminal trespassing in March 2013.
“Bail is for people who show up to their court dates,” said Senior Magistrate Tamia Richards before remanding Mr. Malone.
The defendant reportedly had an open warrant for his Friday appearance.
Mr. Varlack Malone is accused of breaking in to a woman’s house on March 10, 2013, with the “intent to annoy her,” according to the Crown.
Other details of the charge weren’t disclosed. The trial was scheduled for March 19.
