Trevon Thomas, of Hope Hill, died in a boating accident in Road Harbour on Saturday morning, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
Ms. Drayton said the 22-year-old was one of two people thrown from a vessel, which was reportedly travelling at a high speed.
The vessel is in the possession of the police, awaiting inspection by marine experts, she added.
Police investigations are ongoing.
