Kenneth George, 35, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court Friday to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of being armed with an offensive weapon, accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend and her male guest with a cutlass.

Mr. George, a native of St. Vincent now residing on Virgin Gorda, went to an apartment he and the female virtual complainant used to share in Georges North Side at about 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 10, Crown Counsel Jude Hanley said in court. After knocking on the door and calling to his ex-girlfriend, he entered through the back door, Ms. Hanley said.

A cutlass was lying in a bucket near the back door, the prosecutor said.

“The defendant picked up the cutlass from the bucket, and charged after the [woman] virtual complainant with it,” Ms. Hanley said.
