Mathew Hart, 34, was arrested and charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm after allegedly stabbing a man Friday in the Festival Village, police said.
Mr. Hart is currently on remand after Magistrate Tamia Richards ordered him to undergo a psychological evaluation before he is arraigned.
He is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 31.
The victim, who was stabbed in the back and suffered a collapsed lung, is in stable condition at Peebles Hospital, according to police.
It’s alleged that Mr. Hart stabbed the man following a confrontation at the Festival Village.
