A murder trial that began at High Court last week has experienced multiple delays over the past week, most of which were discussed in the absence of the jury and therefore can’t be reported by the media.

Marcus Lloyd, Wakeem Guishard and Mitch Christopher are each facing a charge of murder stemming from accusations that they killed Allen “Tiger” Hodge at his residence in Mayaba in 2010.

Last week, the jury heard from police officer Dorsey Tittle, who responded to the scene of the crime on Sept. 10, 2010.

The officer testified that Mr. Hodge’s body was found in the living room, and appeared to have multiple wounds on the face, top of the head, shoulder and hands.

He also shared photographs of the crime scene with jurors last Thursday.

The three defendants were previously tried last year, but after two days of deliberations, the nine jurors were unable to come to a unanimous decision, and the jury was dismissed on March 27, 2015.

Crown Counsel Garcia Kelly, Principal Crown Counsel Tiffany Scatliffe, and Crown Counsel O’Neil Simpson are prosecuting the case.

Defence attorneys are Valerie Stephens-Gordon, Patrick Thompson, and Jamal Smith.
