To help non-profit organisations register with government by the Tuesday deadline, the NPO Registration Board has posted registration forms and sample materials online for download.

A downloadable constitution template came after the board received “various requests” for assistance with drafting constitutions, according to Government Information Services.

The registration application forms, the three-page constitution template, and a guide to the law are available at www.bvi.gov.vg/non-profit-organisation.

The law, which took effect Jan. 1, requires all groups in the territory that raise funds from the public to register annually with the six-member board.

Groups also will have to provide financial statements to the board each year, and to designate someone in the organisation as a “money laundering reporting officer.”
