One man is dead and another is seriously injured after a boating accident Sunday afternoon, police said.
Chaim Todman, a Great Mountain mechanic who attended BVI High School, was 33 at the time of his death. An outpouring of condolences were posted on his Facebook wall throughout Sunday night and Monday.
“Woke up to the sad news of your passing,” wrote Rick Smith. “It hurts so much when we lose brothers at such an early age.”
The accident, which also involved Mustafa Claxton who is currently being treated at Peebles Hospital, occurred near Jost Van Dyke, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
“Further details will be released at a later date,” Ms. Drayton said.
