A United States-based search team will lead a renewed effort to find an elderly woman who disappeared from her home on Anegeda last December, police said.

The Klaas Kids Foundation, which coordinates large-scale outdoor searches, was hired by the family of Margarita Clinton-Faulkner, a 77-year-old resident of The Settlement who hasn’t been seen since Dec. 2.

“[KKF] is scheduled to arrive in the territory on Sept. 18 to begin a six-day search on Anegada for Ms. Clinton-Faulkner, or to uncover any evidence that could help in advancing the investigation into her disappearance,” according to a press release from the Police Information Office.

The KKF typically carries out search operations for children in the US. However, the foundation agreed to work with the family to provide assistance in the search for Ms. Clinton-Faulkner.
The organisation offers a trained manager to organise large-scale searches and liaison with law enforcement, the community and the family of the missing person, according to the KKF website.
