Which one doesn’t belong? Actually, it turns out all three made it to the Festival Village Grounds this Saturday for Family Fun Day, a free event organised by the police force and the Police Welfare Association.

“It’s actually a free fundraiser event, in order to purchase more items for gifts for our annual Christmas Fun Day, which is held in December,” said Police Sergeant Tilda Henry. She said that back-to-school items and toys donated and available for sale Saturday would help pay for the Dec. 17 event.

“Whatever [funds] we get generated will be given back to the community,” she said.

During the afternoon, chicken, goat water and hamburgers were available for purchase. Children lined up to have their faces painted and to have photos taken with characters like Dora and SpongeBob. A bouncy castle also drew a crowd, and volunteers from the BSAFE cycling programme helped children navigate a traffic-cone course on two wheels.
