Two people were arrested Tuesday who police believe assisted Linda Todman-Huggins, the customs officer who admitted to taking a bribe in exchange for helping load suitcases allegedly containing drug money onto a plane bound for South America.

Their names have not been released, as charges have not been filed. Neither is a government employee, according to a police press release.

Ms. Todman-Huggins told police she took the bribe from fellow customs officer Roberto “Tico” Harrigan, prosecutors said. Mr. Harrigan faces Virgin Islands and United States charges in an alleged 13-year multinational drug-trafficking conspiracy said to have moved tonnes of cocaine through VI waters.

Ms. Todman-Huggins, 44, was sentenced to two years in Her Majesty’s Prison after pleading guilty to bribery by a public official and assisting another to retain the benefits of criminal conduct.
