A pep rally, a health fair and sports contests are among the activities slated for Public Service Week, which kicked off Sunday with a service at the New Testament Church of God International Worship Centre.

The public is invited participate in the observance, which is themed, “A Public Service for Efficiency, Excellence and Innovation,” according to Government Information Services.

The pep rally, scheduled for Monday afternoon, is to proceed from the Central Administration Building to the A.O. Shirley Recreation Grounds, where it will be followed by cheerleading and track-and-field competitions.

Other sports activities will follow throughout the week, as will open houses at various government agencies.

A health fair is scheduled from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Administration Building, and the annual recognition ceremony is to be held at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College at 6 p.m. the same day.
