Buzzer Beater was led by J’Kwon Frett with 27 points and four rebounds, while Demoi Hodge had 21 points, six rebounds and four assists. Deangleo Sampson scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win.

The Warriors top scorers were Aldric Thomas who had 17 points and three steals and Jamoi Dore who scored 16 points.

In the second and final game of the night, Without a Doubt defeated Raw Talent, 82-54, to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series in the A Division.

Without a Doubt’s top scorer was Jevon Serrant who scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds. Dione Blyden contributed 16 points, six rebounds and four assists in the win.

Mr. Serrant had a strong performance in the second half scoring 18 points.

“One of my teammates got hurt, so I just stepped it up and hit some big shots,” Mr. Serrant said.

Without a Doubt’s coach, Benroy Stevens, was happy to win the first playoff game. He was confident going into the game, because he had beat Raw Talent previously in the regular season. The coach is optimistic about moving on to the next round and playing in the championship.

“I am ready for Set it Off,” Mr. Stevens said. “I want it to be Set it Off.”

Although he has won championships as a player and coach in the past, it would be Without a Doubt’s first title.

“We have a good team; not too young and not too old, ” Mr. Stevens said. “We have a lot of experience too. I think we can beat Set it Off. They beat me last time with a lucky shot.”

Raw Talent was led by Demoi Hodge with 18 points and three rebounds. Shakeoy George scored nine points in the loss.

On Saturday, Set it Off beat Up 2 Da Time, 82-78.

Set it Off was led by Ray Victor with 27 points and Travis Isaac who scored 20 points. Coy Dore had seven points in the win.

“I think the game was easy, but I think we made it hard on ourselves,” Mr. Victor said. “We were up and we let them back into the game — that is nonsense. This is the playoffs. We have to take every bucket serious, but we relaxed and slacked off.”

Mr. Victor said he wouldn’t be surprised if his team faces Without a Doubt in the championship. During the regular season, Set it Off beat Without a Doubt by only one point.

“They were the toughest team this season,” Mr. Victor said. “I see playing them in the championship.”

Up 2 Da Time’s top scorer was Hilroy Warner with 14 points. Nathaniel Malone and Juan Richard both had 12 points each in the loss.

In the B Division, Time 2 Wuk beat Go Hard, 94-84, in overtime.

Time 2 Wuk was led by Tafari Winchester with 24 points and Stephon Caul scored 20 points.

Go Hard’s top scorer was Lestin Wilshire with 28 points.
