A business owner was injured during an attempted robbery at the Lubricant Store in Long Look at about 10 p.m. Friday, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.

A masked man fired a single gunshot, which injured the storeowner’s arm, she said.

The victim is being treated at Peebles Hospital, according to Ms. Drayton.

Nothing was stolen from the premises, she added, and police investigations are ongoing.

Also on Friday, a driver reported that shots were fired at his vehicle in Havers while he was driving to his residence, according to Ms. Drayton.

Police found several bullet holes on the vehicle, and they recovered spent shells and lead fragments from the scene, she said.

The two occupants in the vehicle were uninjured, and police investigations are ongoing.
