Golf
On July 27, Virgin Islands golfers were compete for the Grey Goose Cup. The event will be similar to the BVI Invitational, which will be held later in the year. The tournament will be held in St. Thomas at the Mahogany Run. The tournament is scheduled to start at 9:15 a.m. Organisers are working on transportation from the ferry dock to the course.
There is a $50 charge to ensure tee time, which can be paid to organiser Eddie Brockbank. This fee will be refunded the day of the event. The greens fee is $60.  There will be a sign-up cocktail party at Drakes Point from 5:30 p.m.  to 7:30 p.m. on July 26. Failure to attend, will result in three strokes being added to your handicap

Cycling
The BVI Mountain Bike Club will be hosting The Norman Island Challenge on Sunday. The event will include a cadet race and will be a completely off-road event. The course is a 2.5-mile loop with a maximum elevation of 241 feet and approximately 440 feet of elevation gain   All categories will do four laps for a total of 10 miles.  The average time per lap is estimated to be about 22 minutes. The Fun/Novice course will be one lap and the Cadets Race will do half a lap. A private  chartered boat will leave the Peter Island dock at Baughers Bay at 7 a.m.  The race will start soon after the arrival just behind Pirates on the beach.  The boat will return at about 12:30 p.m. BVIMBC members $25, including boat and race entry, non members $30.
