Forty-five plastic surgeons are in the territory this week to mix business and pleasure.
After coming from as far away as Europe and New Zealand, they are attending the BVI Plastic Surgery Workshop Conference at Long Bay Beach Resort.
From 8 a.m. to noon, they meet to discuss research papers and other aspects of their profession. Then they hit the beach, tour the islands or take part in other activities, according to Xandra Adamson, an organiser.
This year, the event’s 26th, has seen the highest participation in recent years, Ms. Adamson said. In 2011, for example, 33 surgeons attended.
