A week after Terrance Stapleton Jr. was arrested for the Sept. 13 burglary of Said Department Store, police have accused him of burglarising five other establishments throughout Road Town.

According to acting Police Information Officer Carl Mason, police charged Mr. Stapleton, 26, of Great Mountain, after a lengthy investigation where officers recovered stolen property and obtained CCTV footage.

Mr. Stapleton is now on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison and awaits a court hearing, Mr. Mason said.

The information officer didn’t release the name of the burgled establishments, but did say that they include a beauty salon, a coffee shop, a barbershop, a pharmacy, and a furniture store.

Last week, Mr. Stapleton was arrested after being accused of stealing an undisclosed number of smart phones from Said Department Store.

The accused burglar’s brother, Tevorn Stapleton, 19, is currently serving a one-year prison sentence for the same charge in connection with a different incident.
