Three men were charged Thursday with murder for the shooting of Daren Allen “Tiger” Hodge in 2010, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.

Marcus Lloyd, 43, of Harrigan Estate, Wakeem Guishard, 26, of Carrot Bay, and Mitch Christopher, 29, of Harrigan Estate, were scheduled to appear at Magistrates’ Court Friday afternoon.

Ms. Drayton said Director of Public Prosecution Wayne Rajbansie advised making the charges following a review of an evidence file submitted by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force Major Crime Team.

The family of the victim is being kept informed of the new developments in the case, she said.

Mr. Hodge received multiple gunshot wounds to his body at his home in Meyers Estate on Sept. 10, 2010 and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Terrance Abdullah Charles was the first person to be arrested in relation to the crime. He pleaded guilty to murder in December 2011 and was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Ms. Drayton said police are pleased to have reached this point in the investigation, thanking the community for its assistance and patience during the “complex” investigation.
