The police force identified the men for the first time in late October, and Sergeant Beverly James said last week that the search has continued and asked that anyone with relevant information report it.

Mr. Hernandez, who is facing a murder charge in the death of Alston Penn, is a brown-skinned Dominican Republic native who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs between 200 and 220 pounds, according to police.

Mr. Almestica is a brown-skinned St. Thomas native who is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 200-220 pounds. He pleaded not guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition in August 2016.

Mr. Hodge is a brown-skinned United States native who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 160-190 pounds, police said.

Police, who said they are working with prison officers to continue the search, previously said that the three were not believed to be dangerous.

Anyone with information about the men is asked to call the police at 344-1818, 344-1822, 344-1977, 545-4866, 468-9001 or 468-9000.
