The International Finance Centre recently partnered with private sector leaders to promote the Virgin Islands abroad.
During a trip dubbed “European Tour 2011: Planning for the Future – The BVI Advantage,” the participants went to Zurich and Luxembourg to discuss the advantages of conducting business here, according to Government Information Services.
IFC Executive Director Sherri Ortiz spoke at the Luxembourg Monetary and Finance Forum on Sept. 20, describing the VI’s efforts to maintain its international reputation.
“Key industry decision-makers in Zurich and Luxembourg, including wealth and investment managers, bankers, among others, learned about what the BVI has to offer in the field of trusts and wealth planning,” Ms. Ortiz said.
