Although funding constraints meant the Virgin Islands Fungi Fest Committee had to scale back its annual concert, Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park was packed with residents dancing, standing or sitting on blankets and beach chairs Saturday night for the Fungi Blowout.
The concert featured mostly bands from around the territory, rather than the region as in previous years, said George Lewis, the committee’s public relations officer.
The exception was the Flambo Combo, a band made up of students from St. Thomas’ Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School.
The Razor Bladez, The Serenaders, The Lashing Dogs and Leon and the Hot Shots also played.
The event was the last activity for Culture Week.
