The crowd that gathered at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College on Saturday stayed mostly mellow as Virgin Islanders Joseph Nibbs and Shirley Crabbe serenaded concertgoers with Caribbean-style jazz.
Mr. Nibbs kicked off the concert by playing a solo on the piano, before he was joined by a band of VI musicians.
Then, Mr. Nibbs introduced Ms. Crabbe, who was attired in a black dress and a pearl necklace.
Among others, the singer performed “Home,” a song she dedicated to her family and to the territory.
“I always feel at home when I come to Tortola,” Ms. Crabbe said.
