More than two dozen public officers gathered at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park Friday to take part in a ceremony and fair for Safety at Work Day.
Representatives from various government departments gave presentations on the importance of safety.
Sylvia George, health and safety coordinator in government’s Human Resources Department, thought the day was well received.
“We have some very informative presentations,” Ms. George said. “You cannot separate your job from your safety. It is very important to be safe at work. It is something we don’t talk about much, but it is important to talk about such things so everyone can be on the same page.”
