Police are seeking the public’s help in determining who shot Felix Ramon Colon Beltre to death on Friday evening, and will hold a community meeting Tuesday to discuss the case.

The 34-year-old Dominican Republic native was killed in an “apparent robbery” outside an Upper Main Street barbershop, according to a police press release. A 29-year-old man who was with Mr. Colon Beltre at the time was also shot and treated for leg injuries, the release stated.

Deputy Police Commissioner David Morris was quoted in the release as saying that police need information from the public to catch the shooter.

“We are asking the community to work us. We are seeking any information that can lead to the perpetrator’s identity because we know many persons were in the area during that evening,” he said.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Bandstand at Long Bush. Members of the public with information about the crime can also call the untraceable, anonymous Crimestoppers Miami number at 800-(TIPS) or 800-8477.
