With just over a month left until the Nov. 7 elections, candidate campaign launches are coming frequently in the territory.

Saturday saw the launches of three candidates: the National Democratic Party’s Dr. Kedrick Pickering (R-D7), the Virgin Islands Party’s Omar Hodge (R-D6), and Ninth District hopeful Devon Osborne. And on Friday evening, independent at-large candidate Bertrand Lettsome launched his campaign in East End.

Mr. Hodge was first elected in 1979 and has represented the Sixth District ever since. Dr. Pickering has represented the Seventh District since 1999.

Messrs. Osborne and Lettsome have never held office before, but this will be Mr. Osborne’s second bid for the Ninth District, which includes Virgin Gorda and Anegada. Mr. Lettsome recently retired from the Conservation and Fisheries Department.
